GeoNAREM Essay Competition, Tanzania

GeoNAREM organized an essay competition in a primary school in a rural area of Tanzania. Led by Edson Mwijage (COO), the competition was aimed at fostering pupils' knowledge and passion for the "Importance of Forests" and the need to safeguard our environment to ensure sustainability.

Five top essays were selected and their authors awarded with souvenirs from GeoNAREM.

The GeoNAREM Environmental Club was also established to raise awareness and interests of the young generation in mapping, environmental and natural resources management.
